Martha Oil Field Update Meeting Rescheduled

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 12, 2006) - The Kentucky Department for Public Health has rescheduled the next quarterly Martha Oil Field remediation update meeting for residents of the Martha, Ky., area. The meeting is now scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. April 27, at Blaine Elementary School in Blaine.

This is a slight change to the previously announced date of April 13, according to Clyde Bolton, director of the Division for Public Health Protection and Safety.
Testing was recently completed on some of the property of local residents. Lab results have not been returned at this point.

The meeting will take place in the school gym, which can be accessed through the school’s main entrance. The meeting will update residents on the cleanup process at the Martha Oil Field.
