Adult Day Care: Community-based group program designed to provide social and related supportive services for older persons.
Diseases and Conditions: Information about a variety of diseases and conditions. Includes AIDS/HIV, Diabetes and SIDS. Also has tips for prevention and treatment options.
Home Care: The Homecare Program helps adults who are unable to perform some activities of daily living and are at risk of institutional care to remain in their own homes by providing supportive services and coordinating the help of family, friends, and provider agencies.
Immunization: Information for older adults.
Medicaid: Assigned to purchase quality healthcare and related services that produce positive outcomes for persons eligible for programs administered by the Department.
Prescription Drug Help: Medicare is now offering a prescription drug discount card as the first step toward a drug benefit that will begin in 2006. The discount card provides Medicare beneficiaries price reduction of 10 - 20 percent on their pharmaceutical medications.

Mental Health
Alzheimer's Respite: Alzheimer's respite is a program of supervision and care provided to a person with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia to give the caregiver temporary relief from care-giving duties.
Mental Health: The Department for Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services provides leadership, in partnership with others, to prevent disability, build resilience in individuals and their communities, and facilitate recovery for people whose lives have been affected by mental illness, mental retardation or other developmental disability, substance abuse or an acquired brain injury.

Protection
Adult Abuse: Abuse is when a person hurts or injures another person physically or mentally. It does not have to be deliberate or intentional.
Fraud, Waste and Abuse: The Division of Fraud, Waste and Abuse/Identification and Prevention is responsible for planning, developing, and directing agency efforts to identify and prevent fraud, waste and abuse in the Medicaid program, and all other welfare programs administered by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Personal Care Attendant: Attendant services for people 18 and older with functional loss of two or more limbs and who have the ability to hire and supervise an attendant.

Assistance
Medical Transportation: Provides non-emergency transportation through local brokers.
Senior Employment: Serves persons 55 and older who are below 125 percent of the federal poverty level and who need training, subsidized employment and help with job placement.
Support Group (KinCare): There are more than 65,000 children in Kentucky living with their grandparents. KinCare assists grandparents and other relative caregivers both in accessing available services which will help them better function in the caregiver role, and in identifying needs that are going unmet because some services are not being provided.
Weatherization: The Kentucky Weatherization Assistance Program is to improve energy efficiency, household safety, and to educate the public about maintaining energy efficiency. The program's focus is on low-income families and children, the elderly, and the disabled.
