Consumer Involvement Fund

Effective March 15, 2010, the Consumer Involvement Fund only may be used by individuals with developmental disabilities and others in their support network. The council will consider travel requests up to twice a year (in-state) or once a year (out-of-state) per fiscal year (July to July), not to exceed $350 per qualifying individual for in-state events or $1,500 per qualifying individual for out-of-state events.This policy will be strictly enforced as written. 

The Consumer Involvement Fund provides financial assistance to persons with developmental disabilities, their families, guardians and others within their support networks to attend conferences and short-term educational programs. The council provides this benefit to enhance capacity building throughout the state.

To apply for assistance to attend conferences or educational programs or participate in advocacy events and activities, send a request in writing, describing the purpose for which you are applying. Include a fund application form, brochure or other materials regarding the event you want to attend and the amount you are able to pay and the amount you are requesting from the fund.
