Medical Review Panels
Kentucky has taken the first step toward tort reform, creating Medical Review Panels (MRPs) to review claims of malpractice against healthcare providers before legal action can be filed in court. Senate Bill 4, passed by the legislature and signed by Gov. Matt Bevin, created the panels, which are administered by CHFS. More information on MRPs

Important Notice: Please be advised that House Bill 2, the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, as passed by the Kentucky General Assembly, was signed by Gov. Matt Bevin and became effective Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. The bill requires this signed form before a patient can have an abortion.
