Department for Family Resource Centers and Volunteer Services

The Department for Family Resource Centers and Volunteer Services consists of the following:

  • Division of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC)
  • Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Services (KCCVS)

The FRYSC division provides administrative support, technical assistance and training to local school-based family resource and youth services centers. These centers help connect students and their families to needed services as a way to remove nonacademic barriers to learning and enhance student academic success.

The Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service encourages all Kentuckians to work together to meet community needs and, thereby, foster personal, family and community pride and an enduring ethic of volunteerism and service. KCCVS administers Kentucky's AmeriCorps and related national services programs.
