Department for Income Support

The Department for Income Support provides the following services:

• Child Support Enforcement
• Disability Determination

The Child Support Enforcement program helps parents and legal guardians of minor children with enforcement of child support obligations, court orders and collections of support from noncustodial parents.

Disability Determination Services makes disability determinations on behalf of the commissioner of the U.S. Social Security Administration for residents of Kentucky. Using federal guidelines and regulations, division staff works to determine applicant eligibility for both Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Income.
