Kentucky Patient Access and Care (KenPAC) Services
KenPAC helps members get the health care they need by seeing a primary care provider (PCP) who will help manage their health.
Most Kentucky members are enrolled in KenPAC. Members excluded from KenPAC include:
- members that have both Medicaid and Medicare,
- are in nursing homes, receive waiver benefits and
- children who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

What is a PCP and how can I pick one? |
 |
The word "primary" means first. The PCP is the provider members will see first for medical care. The PCP will see members for routine care and refer to a specialist if needed.
The PCP may be a pediatrician, an internist, family doctor, general practitioner, OB/GYN, nurse practitioner or physician assistant who works in a primary care center or a rural health center.
