Kentucky HIV-AIDS Conference

This annual conference, co-hosted by the Kentucky Department for Public Health and Heartland CARES Inc, in Paducah, is designed for health care and social service professionals who are involved in planning or providing prevention education or direct delivery of services to people living with HIV/AIDS in Kentucky. It is also intended for people who are interested in improving the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS and those who are concerned about the impact HIV/AIDS plays in our communities.

This conference may be of special interest to physicians, nurses, nurse   practitioners, physician assistants, prevention specialists, health planners, social workers, counselors, certified health education specialists, pharmacists, administrators, correction officers, substance abuse counselors, caregivers, service providers, community members and others affected by HIV/AIDS either personally or professionally.

The 2007 Kentucky HIV/AIDS Conference will be held at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Lexington May 9 - 11. To register, please fill out the 2007 Conference Registration Form (Publisher-38.5kb) and submit with payment to:

Keynote Address: "Neurological Complications of HIV Infection" presented by Dr. Avindra Nath, Professor, Department of Neurology, John Hopkins University

Entertainment: Provided by "D.D. Rainbow"

Debra Faulk (aka "D.D. Rainbow") is an experienced Comedienne whose experience and skills range from being a Stand-Up Comedienne for The Comedy Stor, Uptown Comedy Club, Boston Comedy Club and Live at the Apollo in New York City. Debra has volunteered for several community service events including an AIDS Marathon helping raise millions of dollars for AIDS charity, and a comedy shor fund raiser for the Crippled Children's Society. She has also received numerous awards, citations, and publications.

Continuing Education

Continuing Education Credits have been applied for Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Dieticians and CHES. There is no charge for CEU's and CME's.
