Preparedness Systems

This page is a portal to the various Kentucky Public Health Emergency Preparedness systems.

Catalyst

Catalyst is a reporting tool that allows the preparedness program to describe annual work plans and to objectively collect data on the "deliverables" required for each entity within the preparedness branch: planners, epidemiologists, and Regional Preparedness Coordinators. This reporting justifies our work and the money allocated by the state.

Health Alert Network

The Health Alert Network (HAN) is a secure, web based application that allows personnel to instantly contact and share information with each other across the state. HAN provides tools for issuing alerts, sharing information, and retrieving contact information. The system is administered by the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) at the state level and by Local Health Departments at the local county level. The Kentucky Health Alert Network can alert users ranging from the Department for Public Health to local emergency response partners via e-mail, pager, or telephone. Users confirm alert receipt by system authentication.
