Public Health Improvement Branch
The Public Health Improvement Branch focuses on improving the quality of the practice of public health through policies that assure the system can fulfill the role of protecting the safety and health of Kentuckians, performing quality improvement site visits to local health departments (LHDs) and providing technical assistance to LHDs and the Kentucky Department for Public Health.

The Quality Improvement Section strengthens and improves the quality of the practice of public health through a variety of methods to fulfill the role of protecting the safety and health of Kentuckians using LHD services.
This is accomplished through:

Maintaining the public health practice reference, assigned section of the administrative reference and medical record forms used by the LHDs.

Performing quality improvement site visits to LHDs to help improve program and practice issues, efficiency, documentation and other clinic and community issues and requirements.

Providing technical assistance to the LHDs and Department of Public Health upon request.

Worksite Health Section |

The Worksite Health Section provides state employees with health care through workplace employee health centers. Most centers are open daily and equipped to provide basic nursing services. Services are available to all state employees, elected legislative officials and appointees at no charge.
The Worksite Health Section also provides medical assistance and expertise during large government functions in Frankfort, including gubernatorial inaugurations and Frankfort's cultural awareness fair.
