Where can I have my child tested for lead?

Your child can receive a lead test from you private physician, a local health department or clinic. The preferred method is a blood lead measurement.  Blood will be collected in one of two ways, capillary or venous.  A capillary test is a fingerstick and venous is through a puncture in the child's vein with a needle.
