Media Advisory: Louisville Reception to Celebrate Adoptive Families; 33 adoptions to be finalized on Nov. 30

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 28, 2007) – Twenty-three Louisville families will celebrate new beginnings this week when the adoptions of 33 children will be finalized on Jefferson County Adoption Day.
Sponsors of the celebration include the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), the Administrative Office of the Courts, Jefferson Family Courts, Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk, the Special Needs Adoption Program (SNAP) and Wednesday’s Child, Inc.
Many of the adoptive families will consent to interviews. Reporters are not allowed in the courtrooms for proceedings, but are invited to the Crown Room ceremony.
