The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), the state agency that oversees the public foster care system, will present the parents with Excellence in Service Awards.

CHFS will honor the foster parents for their dedication and commitment to caring for children in custody of CHFS’ Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) because of abuse or neglect issues. The parents represent each of DCBS’ nine service regions.

The reception will be from 3-5 p.m. Friday, May 18, at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. The center is located at 100 W. Broadway.
