On Friday, Dec. 16, officials from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and King’s Daughters Medical Center will launch the “Kentucky Safe Sleep Project” to help educate parents about the dangers of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Kentucky’s SIDS rates continue to rise and at present are nearly twice the national average.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at KDMC’s Child Development Center, 2419 Lexington Ave., Ashland.
