Health Policy Development

Health Policy Development is the research and development area of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. It is responsible for coordinating all health policy matters concerning public health, mental health and mental retardation and Medicaid. The office is also responsible for collecting and analyzing statewide health data, critical for sound decision making. Through its policy work, data collection and analysis, the office will identify opportunities for preparing and distributing relevant information to the public about health, health care and public policy.
