Health Insurance Open Enrollment Continues

Health insurance open enrollment began Oct. 10 and runs through Oct. 28. This is a passive open enrollment, which means no action is necessary unless you wish to change your current health insurance election or want to enroll/re-enroll in a Healthcare or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
Current health insurance benefits will automatically “roll over” to the 2012 Plan Year, including if you waive benefits. Employees making changes are strongly encouraged to enroll online through the KHRIS ESS portal; however, any cross-reference changes must complete a paper application.
You will receive your login information via letter from the Personnel Cabinet; however, this year you will not receive a password. Employees who have already logged on to the KHRIS ESS portal will use the current password, otherwise the system will prompt you to create one.

For assistance with this or other technical difficulties, please contact the Personnel Cabinet’s KHRIS helpdesk at (502) 564-4357. For step-by-step directions on the online enrollment process, visit KEHP online and click the “ESS User Guide” icon.

For questions regarding benefits, contact Julia Hughes at (502) 564-7770, ext. 4137. All paper Enrollment Applications must be completed and sign and submitted to Hughes by COB Oct. 28.

All employees who make changes to their health plan coverage during open enrollment will receive new health insurance ID cards for 2011. Additionally, employees who had an FSA or an HRA in 2011 and enroll again for the 2012 plan year will not receive a new Humana Access Card (unless the expiration date on the current card is 12/11, then a new card will be issued).
For additional information, including benefit fair dates and locations, please refer to the Kentucky Employees Health Plan.
