This seminar is designed to enhance the participant's knowledge of the family care home process and regulations.

- Describe the family care home (FCH) process and how it is implemented.
- Identify the FCH regulations.

Presenters |
 |
- Samantha Windsor, Assistant Director, Office of Inspector General, Division of Health Care. Samantha Windsor has a bachelor's degree specializing in gerontology from the University of Kentucky and is a licensed nursing home administrator. She has 12 years of experience working in the health care industry, four of which were spent operating nursing facilities. In the last nine years, she has served the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky primarily in the Office of Inspector General. She has held the position of social service specialist surveyor regulating long-term care facilities and administrative branch manager overseeing the operation of the Training and Quality Assurance Branch. She now serves the Commonwealth of Kentucky as an assistant director and State Training Coordinator of the Division of Health Care.
- Jerry Mayo, Human Services Surveyor Supervisor, Northern Enforcement Branch, Office of Inspector General. Jerry has more than 30 years of service with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the last 13 with the Office of Inspector General. He previously held the position of human services surveyor, responsible for regulating both child care and health care. He has worked extensively with family care and personal care homes during his career. During his tenure with OIG he has provided consultation and training to providers and partners. Currently, he is responsible for the coordination and triage of all health care related complaints.
