Dispenser Reporting Information

Pharmacies and other providers who administer or dispense controlled substances in Kentucky are required to report to KASPER within one business day of the administration or dispensing as provided for under KRS 218A.202 and 902 KAR 55:110.

Data reporting errors must be corrected within seven days of a request for correction. Please refer to KASPER Tips - KASPER Record Correction [PDF - 219K] for guidance on how to correct records that contain errors or that were reported to KASPER in error.

Pharmacies and other dispensers should report administered or dispensed controlled substance information through the KASPER Data Collection System. Reporting data to KASPER requires establishing an account via the cabinet's single sign-on system, Kentucky Online Gateway (KOG), then registering as an uploader in the KASPER Data Collection System. Please refer to the KASPER Controlled Substance Reporting Guide [PDF - 1.69MB] for information on how to register and report data to KASPER.

For information on the National Drug Code format to be used when submitting dispensed controlled substance information to KASPER using the Prescription Data Entry Form (PDEF), please view the National Drug Code (NDC) Information Sheet [PDF - 114K]
