Research Results

Results of research studies approved by the Institutional Review Board are available online to view or print. Currently available research studies date back to 2002. Updates will be added regularly as research results become available. 

Research results are separated into family services and health services categories.

Family Services

Family services research results pertain to topics relevant to services provided by the Cabinet's Department for Community Based Services. Research topics include child  abuse and neglect, domestic violence, family courts, Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC), foster care and kinship care, foster and adoptive parents, juvenile courts and status offenders, permanency, social work practices, substance abuse and employees of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services who work in these program areas.

Health Services

Health services research results pertain to public health, mental health/mental retardation, Medicaid and employees of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services who work in these program areas.
