Tattoo, Body Piercing and Ear Piercing Programs
The Tattoo, Body Piercing and Ear Piercing Program registers tattoo artists, body piercers, ear piercers and certifies studios. Persons engaged in the practice of tattooing, including microblading and cosmetic tattooing or body/ear piercing in Kentucky must be registered through their local health department.

Tanning Facility Registration
The Kentucky Department for Public Health Division of Public Health Protection and Safety oversees and monitors the statewide Tanning Facility Registration Program.
The regulation requires anyone who owns/operates a tanning facility for use by the public to register with the Cabinet through the Local Health Department. The annual registration fee is $75.00 dollars per establishment and is valid for one calendar year. Permit fees for facilities are valid from January 1st to December 31st of each calendar year.
