Through the Center for Foundational Health, the University Collaboration Coordinator will collaborate with universities, colleges and professional organizations to create learning and educational opportunities for public health professionals and students by:
- Identifying educational gaps needed for real-world public health practice.
- Establishing pathways to public health careers through experiential learning and apprenticeship programs.
- Implementing cross-sector collaboration between the Kentucky Department for Public Health and academia for tuition assistance programs and professional development opportunities.
- Creating educational opportunities for staff to connect public health theory and practice.
