The Kentucky School of Alcohol and Other Drug Studies (KSAODS) was traditionally an in-person event held annually in July. Each year, more than 1,200 Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio professionals from substance use treatment, mental health, harm reduction, prevention and other related fields gather to hear from national and state leaders on the up-and-coming theories of practice in the behavioral health world.
KSAODS Virtual Learning Series is an educational resource sponsored by the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. It offers a range of virtual programs and courses designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery supports, and harm reductions services. The series aims to address the complex issues surrounding substance use and contribute to the development of qualified professionals in the field.
The Virtual Learning Series kicked off Sept. 13 and each month following, there are opportunities to attend one or two virtual trainings on various topics. All sessions are free to participants and provide free CEUs. You can find out more about each session and where to register below.
Recordings of previous sessions are available for free on our YouTube channel.
