The Demographic Summary Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of SNAP participation at the individual level using Kentucky SNAP Data. It includes key metrics that highlight the demographic characteristics of SNAP recipients in Kentucky.
Definitions
These definitions are sorted by question and are ordered as they appear in the dashboard.

1. SNAP benefits received in Kentucky for a given Month

Metric	Definition
Total Number of SNAP Recipients	The total number of active SNAP individuals for a given month.
Recipients under Age 18	The total number of active SNAP individuals for a given month under the age of 18.
Recipients Age 18 and over (18-59)	The total number of active SNAP individuals for a given month with an age range of 18 to 59.
Elderly Recipients (Age 60 and Above)	The total number of active SNAP individuals for a given month with an age of 60 and above.

2. Total Number of SNAP Recipients Per Month

Metric	Definition
Total Number of SNAP Recipients Per Month	Total amount of individuals receiving SNAP benefits per month on a trend chart.
Percentage of SNAP Recipients by Gender	Percentage breakdown of active individuals that receive SNAP benefits grouped by gender.
Percentage of SNAP Recipients by Ethnicity	Percentage breakdown of active individuals that receive SNAP benefits grouped by ethnicity.
Percentage of SNAP Recipients by Race	Percentage breakdown of active individuals that receive SNAP benefits grouped by race.
Percentage of SNAP Recipients by Age Group	Percentage breakdown of active individuals that receive SNAP benefits grouped by age group.

Filters

Filter	Description
Month Year	This gives the user an option to select the month and year in a Calendar Year for the data.
County	This gives the user an option to select the county in Kentucky for the data.
Gender	This gives the option to only choose a specific gender for the data.
Race	This gives the option to only choose a specific race for the data.
Ethnicity	This gives the option to only choose a specific ethnicity for the data.
Reset Button	This gives the user an option to reset all the filters in the Household Summary Dashboard, returning the user back to the original/default view.
