The division of Quality and Population Health measures, analyzes, and reports health outcomes of Kentucky Medicaid members. The branches that compose this division are Quality, Population Health, Equity and Determinants of Health, and Research and Analytics. These branches work together to achieve optimum health outcomes for all Kentucky Medicaid members.
Division News
In August 2024 the Division Quality and Population Health (DQPH), within the Department for Medicaid Services (DMS), presented at the national Medicaid Enterprise Solutions Conference (MESC) – Obtaining and Connecting Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) Data. DMS, with other Cabinet of Health and Family Services agencies, developed a system to connect Medicaid members with additional needed resources to help improve health outcomes. In October 2023, Kentucky was recently selected as one of seven states to participate in the Continuous Glucose Monitor Access Accelerator program. This initiative aims to expand access to continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and transform diabetes care for Medicaid beneficiaries. Click below to read more about the program:
