What We Do
The Maternal and Child Health Branch is part of the Division of Health Care Policy (DHCP). It manages Medicaid programs and develops policies that support the health of children and people who are pregnant or have recently given birth.

The Maternal and Child Health Branch works closely with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other areas within the Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services to meet federal and state requirements.
The branch also partners with other state agencies and community organizations to improve program quality and member outcomes.
