Public Health University Collaboration

​​​​​​​​​​Through the Center for Foundational Health, University Collaboration will connect local and state public health departments with universities, colleges and professional associations/organizations to create learning and education opportunities for public health professionals, staff and students by:

  1. ​Identifying and addressing education gaps needed for real-world public health application;
  2. Establishing pathways to public health careers through experiential learning, internships and apprenticeship programs;
  3. Implementing cross-sector collaboration between public health and academia for professional development through adjunct faculty positions and research opportunities; and
  4. Creating educational opportunities for staff to connect public health theory and practice​
