Located within the Office of Inspector General, KYTelehealth provides a vetted respository of information and resources including state telehealth laws, policies, and guidelines; answers to frequently asked questions; educational materials and webinars; statewide telehealth services directory; links to associations, organizations and professional licensure boards and other state and national programs and resources.
Mission:
To strengthen and expand access to secure, high-quality virtual healthcare services across Kentucky through statewide collaboration, governance, and interoperability. The Division will improve care coordination, enhance real-time clinical data sharing through the Kentucky Health Information Exchange (KHIE), support Medicaid and public health initiatives, and assist with rural health telehealth projects to improve access and outcomes across underserved communities.
Vision:
To establish Kentucky as a national leader in connected, interoperable, and equitable telehealth services by creating a statewide ecosystem that supports provider choice, improves healthcare access, strengthens rural healthcare delivery, and leverages health information exchange infrastructure to improve patient outcomes.
