The Division of Health Plan Oversight oversees programs and Medicaid partners responsible for the administration and delivery of health coverage for Kentuckians.
Programs and Services
- Appeals & Complaints Branch
Appeals and Complaints is responsible for provider appeals and complaints processes.
- Eligibility & Enrollment Branch
Eligibility and Enrollment administers the processes used to determine if someone qualifies for Medicaid.
- Contract Monitoring Branch (CMB)
CMB provides contractual oversight for Managed Care Organizations (MCO).
- Health Benefit Exchange (HBE) Branch
HBE houses the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange, known as kynect, which oversees the state's implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Through the exchange, Kentuckians determine their eligibility for tax credits and special discounts, shop for health insurance, compare costs and plans, and apply for premium subsidies and tax credits. Individuals can also determine their eligibility for Medicaid and the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program.
