What It Is

The Child Care Advisory Council was established through House Bill 429 passed in the 2015 legistlative session.  The Child Care Advisory Council was created based upon child care provider needs, areas of concerns, and ways to increase quality.

The Council meets quarterly throughout the year, and is open to the public.

Meeting Dates and Times - 2019

January 24, 2019 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

April 25, 2019 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

July 25, 2019 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

October 24, 2019 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

All meetings will take place at Bluegrass Community Action located at 111 Professional Court, Frankfort, KY, 40601.


Mission Statement

The mission of the Child Care Advisory Council (CCAC) is to give child care providers and advocates, throughout the Commomwealth of Kentucky, the opportunity to advise the Cabinet on matters that affect the operations, funding, licensing, and certification of child care outlined in the Child Care Development Block Grant. (CCDBG) The CCAC will offer guidance to the Cabinet for methods to improve quality, access, affordability, and positive outcomes for all children participating in child care services throughout the state. The CCAC will act as the bridge between providers and the Cabinet to build collaboration to positively impact children.
