Kentucky operates six 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waiver programs. These programs cover services for individuals who are aged or have a disability and require long-term support to remain living at home or in the community.
Program Eligibility and Service Offerings
To receive services through a 1915(c) HCBS waiver programs, individuals must be Medicaid-eligible and meet waiver level of care requirements. Enrolled individuals have access to services offered through Medicaid. The 1915(c) HCBS waiver program covers additional in-home and community-based services meant to complement Medicaid state plan services and support each participant’s assessed needs, goals, and preferences. 1915(c) HCBS offerings include but are not limited to Adult Day Health Care, Community Access or Community Living Supports, Personal Care, and Respite.
